Invisalign® Blue Diamond+

Invisalign uses a tiered ranking system to help patients identify the most experienced orthodontists. A Blue Diamond Plus or Diamond Plus Top 1% designation is the highest possible level a provider can achieve.

What "Top 1%" Means

  • Elite Status: The provider is among the top 1% of all Invisalign practitioners globally or in their region (e.g., North America).
  • High Volume: This status is based primarily on the number of patients treated. To maintain this level, a provider typically must treat:
  • Annual Volume: At least 400 cases per year (some sources indicate 200 cases every 6 months).
  • Lifetime Volume: A minimum of 800 successful cases over their career.

Key Benefits for Patients

  • Choosing a Top 1% provider often provides advantages due to their extensive experience with the Invisalign system:
  • Complex Case Management: These providers are better equipped to handle difficult orthodontic issues, such as severe crowding or bite corrections, that lower-tier providers might refer out.
  • Increased Predictability: Extensive experience leads to more precise treatment planning and a lower likelihood of needing multiple "refinement" stages.
  • Cost & Technology: Many Top 1% providers use the latest digital tools (like iTero scanners) and may receive volume-based discounts from Invisalign, which can sometimes result in more competitive pricing for patients.
