Her Story
A Passion for Beautiful Smiles
With dual M.S. degrees in Cell & Neurobiology and Craniofacial Biology, and a certificate in Advanced Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Dr. Lee helps guide the development of jaw structures and eruption of teeth in addition to straightening teeth and fixing bites.
She carefully designs each smile through a thorough clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning process incorporating facial, dental, airway, and growth potential considerations — applying science and her artistic sense daily while meeting and helping patients from all over the country.
I love creating beautiful smiles, healthy bites and airways, and facial harmony that improve self-confidence and quality of life for our patients of all ages.

Outside the Office
Born in Taiwan, Dr. Lee came to the US at 14 to pursue higher education while her parents made the sacrifice to stay behind and support her financially. Her husband has been practicing gastroenterology for over 20 years in Arcadia, where he grew up. They are blessed to have two daughters and a son.
In her spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys art, playing piano, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

I'm a board-certified orthodontist, and I'm thrilled to be back at Vivian Lee Orthodontics, where I first joined the practice in 2018! In addition to practicing here, I serve as part-time faculty at the USC Graduate Orthodontics Residency Program — where both Dr. Lee and I completed our training.
Teaching allows me to share my passion for orthodontics with the next generation of specialists while continuing to grow and learn myself. I can't wait to meet you and your family, and I look forward to helping you achieve a healthy, radiant smile with the VLO Team!

I grew up in Texas, but Los Angeles quickly became home after I moved here. It's where I met my husband, who is an anesthesiologist at Kaiser, and where we're now raising our two beautiful daughters.
In my free time my hobbies include: traveling, going to the beach, snowboarding, and trying new restaurants — my favorite food is sushi.

Our ability to perform advanced procedures in-office — from microimplants and skeletal expanders to laser recontouring and corticopuncture — not only enables creative treatment plans utilizing mechanics typically impossible with traditional orthodontics, but also provides great convenience and savings for our patients.

Early & Growth Treatment
Expert in oral habit modification, maxillary expansion, and jaw growth guidance. We design compact digital expanders that are less bulky and more comfortable — fabricated from a digital scan without extra appointments for spacers or goopy impressions. Dr. Lee also utilizes headgears, chin-cups, and Invisalign Mandibular Advancement to maximize growth potential, preventing extraction and jaw surgery in the future.
Advanced Adult Care
Dr. Lee can help our adult patients do the same, incorporating techniques such as conservative dental recontouring for simple and moderate cases, and other advanced procedures for complex cases if needed, including microimplants (TADs) and maxillary skeletal expander (MARPE) placement, gum recontouring and exposure of certain impacted teeth with laser, corticopuncture to facilitate challenging movement, and piezoelectric midpalatal incision.
