Types of Braces

Invisalign® are a series of clear plastic aligners that straighten your teeth. They are removable, so you can eat and drink whatever you like while in treatment, & you can still brush and floss normally. Invisalign® is made with SmartTrack® material, which reshapes your smile one aligner at a time in the most comfortable way possible. Treatment is fully customized for each individual by Dr. Lee.

Phase I - Traditional Metal Braces

metal braces

Traditional metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel and you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile. These braces are used for our Phase 1 patients.

Metal Self-Ligating Braces

Self-ligating braces are made from the same materials as traditional braces. However, self-ligating braces do not require the use of elastics, meaning fewer appointments and less friction being placed on the tooth and helps the archwire guide teeth into place. The specialized clip helps reduce the amount of pressure being placed on the tooth, and requires fewer adjustments.

Clear Self-ligating Braces

Clear self-ligating braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, clear braces are used mainly on teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as clear braces are slightly more brittle than their metal counterparts.
